The MSR Access 1 is a 3/4 season tent. This means that it is suitable for all types of outdoor activities (hiking, bikepacking...) regardless of the season, except for winter polar expeditions.

Description
The MSR Access 1 tent is light enough for light hiking and strong enough for winter bivouacking. This is because the frame consists of an ultra-light Easton® Syclone™ pole. This is designed to withstand the weight of snow that falls overnight.
In addition, the MSR Access 1 is a freestanding tent, which means that it stands up on its own. It comes with pegs and there are plenty of guy rope attachment points to secure it to the ground. To limit condensation, this model is equipped with a double canopy which itself has vents.
In terms of waterproofing, the Xtreme Shield™ coating offers a Schmerber rating of 3000mm for the ground and 1200 mm for the flysheet. Enough to sleep dry despite rain or snowfall. As for the interior space of the tent, it is spacious enough for one person and their equipment (touring skis, mountaineering gear...).
