Description
The Platypus QuickDraw water filter is a good way to lighten your backpack. You no longer need to carry several litres of water in your rucksack when you go hiking. Just make sure you come across water points on your route. With an autonomy of 1000 litres, it can filter clear water (river, fountain, spring...). By filtering turbid water, you risk clogging the filter and making it unusable.
The QuickDraw is delivered with a 1-litre flexible water bottle. It is easy to use. Fill the bottle and screw on the filter. You can then drink directly from the filter or pour the drinking water into another container. The flow rate of 3 litres per minute is almost unbeatable among microfilters! The system works by gravity, so you simply tilt the bottle and filter downwards to see the water flowing out. A cap prevents any leakage.
To maintain the filter, rinse and shake it or run water against the current.
