The Spot 400 Headlamp from Black Diamond offers efficiency, versatility and technical details in a compact package. It is ideal for long expeditions. Indeed, it is powered by 3 alkaline batteries (supplied). But it can also work with the BD 1500 Rechargeable Battery (sold separately).
The Spot 400 has a far vision mode and a near vision mode. It is suitable both for activities that are not highly dynamic (hiking, bivouac, bushcraft) and those that are more dynamic (trail, ski touring, bikepacking) thanks to its maximum range of 100 m. As a bonus, its night vision mode is suitable for group activities. This will prevent you from dazzling your companions at night, when they are sleeping.
In addition, the Spot 400 Headlamp has an IPX8 waterproof rating, which allows it to continue to operate even if it finds itself under 1 metre of water for about thirty minutes. It is however possible that water will enter the battery compartment, but this will not damage the operation of the lamp itself.
Finally, thanks to its PowerTap technology, you can easily switch from a low intensity at moderate or even maximum intensity by pressing on the side of the headlamp.
