This thin-sliced biltong prepared by family-owned British brand Ember is inspired from traditional South African dried meat recipes. The large-sized 500g bag includes British and Irish-grown beef slices. Naturally high in proteins, gluten free and low in fat, this is a healthy post-workout recovery snack or delicious happy hour appetizer (its large format allows you to invite a ton of friends !). A type of dried meat, biltong is a typical product of South African cuisine. This recipe from the English brand Ember has been made with dried beef. Extremely rich in protein, biltong is an ideal snack after physical activity. Indeed, after an intense effort, muscle fibres will have been damaged or destroyed, which is why proteins will help to rebuild muscle.
But beef jerky is not only a protein food: it is also a product rich in in flavour. It is very popular as an aperitif with friends or during a picnic. Cut into thin slices, it is immediately ready to eat.
