Organic freeze dried food - From organic farming

Organic freeze dried meals

You may have noticed that organic farming is increasingly recommended today. This is hardly surprising given the health benefits it offers. Since freeze-drying can be applied to any food, some companies have taken to producing organic freeze dried meals.

Where to find them?

Freeze dried food is not commonly found everywhere. Organic products, as often seen on shelves, come at a higher price. They are grown without specific inputs — just natural methods — which makes their development more challenging. Yields are also lower. To offset production costs, they are sold at a slightly higher price than intensively farmed products. Few companies take the risk of investing in this area. We don't know all of them, but we can point you towards a few well-known names. Among the brands that have proven themselves in the organic sector, we can mention:

• LYO FOOD: a Polish company covering all categories of freeze-dried food. Its organic products comply with government standards;
• VOYAGER: like M×3, this is also a French brand of organic products. In France, both companies have established a strong reputation in the organic freeze-dried food market.

This list may grow over time, as new competitors try to follow in the footsteps of these pioneers. When you need organic freeze-dried food, don't hesitate to turn to us. We stock a wide range of organic products from these trusted suppliers.

Benefits for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts

Organic freeze dried meals offer several advantages for hikers and expedition goers.

Good physical health

Freeze-dried products are a real asset for people who practise this type of activity. They provide the body with the essential nutrients it needs. Freeze-drying is a process that requires no chemical additives. As a result, organic freeze-dried products remain organic. You don't need to worry about product quality. From plant-based to animal-derived products, everything is organic and good for your health.

You reduce your risk of developing certain diseases such as cancer, obesity, or other pesticide-related illnesses. These foods are good for your health and offer excellent nutritional quality. As a result, the risk of indigestion is lower. Organic freeze-dried products contain fewer ingredients such as gluten, fat, and sugar.

Taste and appearance

Organic products are known for being the juiciest and most flavourful, with a noticeably better appearance. The freeze-drying process leaves all these qualities intact. An organic freeze-dried product will always taste and look exactly like the original. The flavour remains well-pronounced even after rehydration. You not only get the same product as the original, but with less fat and fewer excess nutrients.

Cost

Contrary to what you might expect, organic freeze-dried foods are not that expensive. They are actually more affordable than their non-freeze-dried counterparts. When you consider what you'd spend on certain fresh organic fruits, the choice becomes obvious when freeze-dried options are available.
