Description
The Transat Pack – 10 days – Freeze dried and sterilised meals with snacks has been specially designed to meet the needs of a solo sailor during a long-distance crossing, such as a Transat or Transquadra leg. It combines freeze dried meals, sterilised cooked dishes and snacks to guarantee complete and varied food autonomy for 10 days at sea.
Each day includes:
- 1 freeze dried or sterilised breakfast
- 1 freeze dried meal and 1 sterilised cooked dish (lunch and dinner)
- 3 snacks (energy or protein bars, dried meats, dried fruits...)
Additionally, the pack includes several freeze dried or sterilised desserts, plus a tube of electrolyte tablets to dissolve in water to support hydration during physical activity.
Each day provides an average of 2400 kcal, with a total weight of approximately 9.5 kg for the entire pack. You'll need a minimum of 6 litres of water for rehydrating the freeze dried meals. The sterilised meals can be easily heated in a bain-marie or saucepan, with no additional preparation required.
Each day is packed in a transparent zip bag for optimal organisation on board. All you need to do is pack everything without any logistical hassle.
