Description

The Transat Pack – 10 Days – Freeze Dried & Sterilised with Snacks has been specially designed to meet the nutritional needs of a solo sailor during a long-distance crossing, such as a Transat or a Transquadra leg. It combines freeze dried meals, sterilised ready meals and snacks to provide complete, varied food autonomy over 10 days at sea.

Each day includes:

  • 1 freeze-dried or sterilised breakfast
  • 1 freeze-dried dish and 1 sterilised ready meal (lunch and dinner)
  • 3 snacks (energy or protein bars, dried meats, dried fruits...)

The Pack also includes several freeze-dried or sterilised desserts, along with a tube of electrolyte tablets to dissolve in water, supporting hydration during exertion.

Each day provides an average of 2,400 kcal, with a total weight of approximately 9.5 kg for the entire Pack. A minimum of 6 litres of water should be set aside for rehydrating the freeze dried meals. Sterilised dishes can be easily heated in a bain-marie or in a saucepan, with no additional preparation required.

Each day's food is packed in a clear zip-lock bag for optimal organisation on board. Simply load everything up — no logistical headaches required.
