Summit To Eat's spicy arrabiata pasta — Double portion is a freeze dried dish designed for substantial and flavourful outdoor meals. This recipe combines pasta with a garlic and chilli tomato sauce, inspired by Italian cuisine. Made from 100% natural ingredients, the meal is cooked before being freeze dried to preserve its flavours and make it easy to carry.

With 224 g before rehydration and approximately 1000 kcal per pouch, this dish is a practical way to refuel after a long day of hiking, bivouacking or bikepacking. The double portion means it can be eaten alone for a highly energising meal, or shared between two depending on needs and exertion levels.

Its vegetarian recipe is also suitable for those following a lactose-free diet. Its very spicy flavour makes it a particularly satisfying meal when temperatures drop, with a comforting warmth after exertion. High in carbohydrates, with nearly 132 g, it provides the energy needed to sustain endurance activities.

Simple to prepare, this dish rehydrates directly in its pouch. The integrated water fill lines on the inside make measuring easy and more practical in the field, even with minimal equipment.

Ingredients: Tomato (tomato, concentrated tomato juice), tomato puree, pasta (durum wheat flour), garlic, basil, rapeseed oil, salt, red chilli powder.

Preparation method: 

1) Remove the oxygen absorber

2) Add 320 ml of boiling water

3) Stir for 8 minutes

4) Serve
