The Grayl GeoPress water purifier turns 710 ml of fresh water into safe drinking water in just 8 seconds. The process is straightforward: fill the bottle, press down the inner sleeve, then drink. No pumping, no sucking and no power source required.
The purifying cartridge eliminates viruses, bacteria and protozoa. It also targets pesticides, heavy metals, sediments, microplastics and a wide range of chemicals. Activated carbon works alongside to reduce unpleasant odours and tastes.
With a 710 ml capacity and a flow rate of 5 litres per minute, the GeoPress delivers greater volume and faster purification than the compact models in the range. It is suited to hiking, travel, bikepacking and emergency situations. It can be filled from a river, lake, fountain or tap where water quality is uncertain.
The SimpleVent cap vents air during purification, protects the spout from dust and allows one-handed drinking. SoftPress technology improves grip and reduces the effort needed when pressing. The bottle can also be clipped to a backpack using a carabiner.
The cartridge can treat up to 250 litres of water before needing replacement. Its key advantage over a standard filter is its ability to also eliminate viruses, while quickly delivering a large volume of ready-to-drink water.
