The ultralight hydration kit brings together several accessories designed to carry and filter water while keeping pack weight to a minimum. It is particularly suited to lightweight hiking, bivouacking, bikepacking and alpine expeditions.
The Platypus 2-litre soft bottle weighs just 30 g. Its flexible design allows it to be folded flat when empty to save space. Its thread is compatible with the Sawyer Mini filter, allowing you to filter fresh water drawn directly from a river, lake or fountain.
The kit also includes a 500 ml backup water pouch. It can serve as an additional reserve, a container for water to be filtered, or an emergency solution while on the move.
A cleaning system is provided to maintain the filter and preserve its flow rate over time. Reusable, the Sawyer Mini has an announced filtration capacity of up to 375,000 litres when usage and maintenance instructions are followed.
