Description
The Jetboil JetPower 230 g gas canister is designed to fuel hiking and bivouac stoves with consistent power, even when temperatures drop. Its greater capacity compared to the 100 g format offers more autonomy, making it particularly suited to extended trips, multi-day outings and group use.
Its premium blend combines 72% isobutane, 26% propane and 2% butane. Isobutane maintains good performance in cold conditions, while propane aids gas flow and canister emptying. This composition ensures efficient combustion in winter or at altitude, where a standard canister may lose efficiency.
The canister can heat up to approximately 27.6 L of water, giving around 138 minutes of use depending on the stove and conditions. This roughly equates to preparing 55 freeze dried meals each requiring 500 ml of water.
