If you're heading on an expedition to a region that only sells clip-on gas canisters (such as Campingaz CV300), then the Kovea Pat Adapter will be your saviour.
Indeed, it allows you to use a valve gas canister (clip-on) on an EN 417 standard stove (Optimus, MSR, Jetboil...).

The Kovea Pat Adapter weighs 71g and is smaller than the palm of a hand.
In other words, it's ultra-lightweight, compact and will let you travel with peace of mind without the fear of running out of gas.

Note: this adapter is compatible with clip-on valve gas canisters. Not to be confused with pierceable valve gas canisters (e.g. Campingaz C206 GLS). For this other type of canister, you need to purchase the P-Adapter from the same brand, Kovea.
