Summit to Eat Chili con Carne combines beef, kidney beans, rice and chipotle chilli in a hearty, mildly spiced recipe. Cooked before freeze-drying, it's prepared directly in the pouch with hot water and ready in around 10 minutes.
Summit to Eat Chili con Carne is a complete freeze-dried meal, ideal for hiking, bivouacking or multi-day adventures. The recipe combines beef, kidney beans, rice, spices and chipotle chilli paste for a bold, warming flavour after exertion.
The ingredients are cooked together first before being freeze-dried. This sets the meal apart from a simple mix of dry ingredients and better preserves the textures and flavours once rehydrated.
Preparation is quick and done directly in the pouch. Simply remove the oxygen absorber, add hot water, stir and reseal the pouch. After around 10 minutes, the chili con carne is ready to eat — no pot or extra washing up needed.
