This zip pouch with its 50g heater allows you to heat 1 meal, whether freeze dried (once rehydrated with cold water) or sterilised, to obtain a truly hot meal in any circumstances. It's an ideal way to heat your meal whether in an emergency situation or during outdoor activities.
The 50 g reusable zip pouch with heater lets you warm a pouch meal without fire, gas or a stove. Ideal for hiking, bivouacking, tactical operations and situations where an open flame is impractical or prohibited.
The heating pouch measures 33 x 30 cm and can be reused up to 10 times. It withstands a maximum temperature of 100 °C and features a water fill line to make measuring easy. Its large format accommodates a ready-meal pouch or a freeze-dried meal pre-rehydrated with cold water.
The included heater is designed to heat a single meal. Simply place it at the bottom of the pouch, add the sealed meal on top, then pour approximately 150 ml of water up to the indicated line. Once the zip is closed, the reaction typically begins within 30 seconds to 3 minutes. The meal then heats for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Compared to a traditional stove, this system eliminates the need to carry a gas canister and cooking equipment. It also has the advantage of working without a flame. The whole unit weighs 80 g, making it a compact solution for preparing an occasional hot meal off-grid.
Warning: the reaction generates significant heat and steam. Keep hands and face away from the vent opening. The water used for heating must not be consumed. The heater contains calcium oxide and sodium hydroxide: it must not be swallowed, opened, or allowed to contact skin or eyes. After use, remove it from the pouch and dispose of it with household waste.
