The Optimus Energy 230 g gas canister is designed to fuel screw-top stoves on hikes, bivouacs, and multi-day expeditions. Its mid-size capacity delivers more runtime than a 100 g canister while remaining easy to carry in a backpack.
It contains a 70/30 butane/propane blend. The propane content improves gas pressure and helps maintain reliable performance when conditions get more demanding — particularly at altitude or in cool weather.
Compliant with EN 417, this canister is compatible with the vast majority of screw-top stoves on the market. It can be removed from the stove after use, even when it still contains gas, making it easy to store and transport.
The cap lets you quickly check whether the canister is new or has already been used. Its main advantage is the strong balance it strikes between runtime, pack size, and compatibility — ideal for multi-day trips.
