The ÖKO 1-litre filter bottle lets you drink fresh water directly from a spring, river or lake. Designed for hiking, bivouacking, travel and expeditions, it filters water instantly when you squeeze the bottle — no chemicals, no waiting time.
The filter combines mechanical filtration with electro-adsorption technology. Active carbon-impregnated fibres capture particles down to 1.4 microns, while electro-adsorption targets finer contaminants. The system removes 99.99% of viruses, bacteria and protozoa, while also reducing heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues and microplastics found in fresh water.
The filter has a maximum capacity of 400 litres (105 US gal) and a flow rate of up to 2 litres per minute. Its lifespan can be tracked using the free Öko Counter app, which logs refills and helps you plan ahead for replacement. Increased resistance when squeezing the bottle is also a sign that the filter is nearing the end of its life.
Weighing just 172 g (6.1 oz), this 1-litre bottle is easy to carry without sacrificing capacity. The wide opening makes refilling straightforward, and the sturdy polypropylene body is BPA-free and free from toxic agents. The bottle can be hand-washed or put in the dishwasher — simply remove the filter first.
