The LifeStraw Go stainless steel is a filter bottle that transforms unsafe water into drinking water. Stainless steel makes it more robust and keeps freshness better than a plastic bottle.
The LifeStraw Go 0.53-litre stainless steel filter bottle lets you drink filtered water while hiking, travelling, or moving through areas where access to safe drinking water is uncertain. It combines a microfiltration membrane with an activated carbon capsule to tackle both micro-organisms and the taste and quality of the water.
The membrane filters out over 99% of bacteria, parasites, and microplastics found in freshwater. The activated carbon helps reduce chlorine, certain chemicals, unpleasant odours, and bad tastes.
Its stainless steel body is more impact-resistant than a plastic bottle and keeps water cool for longer. With a 530 ml capacity, a height of 28 cm (11 in) and a diameter of 8 cm (3.1 in), it fits easily into a side pocket of a backpack. An integrated carabiner clip also lets you attach it to the outside of your pack.
Flow rate can reach up to 1.2 litres per minute. The membrane has a lifespan of up to 4,000 litres, while the activated carbon capsule treats approximately 100 litres. Both components are replaceable to extend the life of the bottle.
Its main advantage over a plastic filter bottle is its stainless steel construction — more durable and better at keeping water cool for longer, while still offering a complete, self-contained filtration system.
