Description

The Katadyn Hiker Pro water filter is a lightweight pump-action model designed for multi-day hikes, treks and long expeditions. Its transparent casing lets you see the filter working directly and makes it easy to check its condition in the field.

Flow rate reaches approximately 1 litre per minute. The outlet tube transfers filtered water directly into a bottle or hydration bladder, with no intermediate container needed. This makes it ideal for quickly building up a water supply at camp.

The cartridge has a lifespan of up to approximately 1,150 litres, depending on the quality of the filtered water. To maintain performance, it must be cleaned, thoroughly dried and stored in a dry place. Using the filter at least once a year is recommended when it is stored for extended periods.

Its key advantage over a gravity filter is its immediate, controlled flow rate: the pump delivers filtered water on demand, even when suspending a reservoir is not possible.
