Description

The Katadyn BeFree Tactical filter cartridge lets you replace a worn filter while maintaining the original performance of the BeFree system. Lightweight and compact, it suits hiking, trail running, bivouacking and trekking where pack weight must be kept to a minimum.

Its hollow fibre membrane provides mechanical filtration down to 0.1 micron. It removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts and sediment from fresh water, with no chemicals required.

This cartridge contains no activated carbon. It is therefore not designed to reduce taste or odour, but delivers fast and effective microbiological filtration. Flow rate can reach 2 litres per minute, allowing you to drink directly from the bottle without waiting.

Compatible with 0.5 and 1 litre Katadyn BeFree soft flasks, it can treat up to 1,000 litres of water depending on water quality and maintenance frequency. Its matte black finish blends discreetly into a low-profile or tactical kit.

Its main strength is an excellent weight-to-flow ratio: at just 39 g, it filters water quickly while taking up minimal space in your pack.
