Description

The Sawyer Mini is a compact, ultra-lightweight water filtration system designed for hiking, trekking, bikepacking and emergency situations. The filter alone weighs just 37 g and fits in the palm of your hand. The full kit comes in at 86 g and includes a 0.5-litre reusable squeeze pouch, a drinking straw and a cleaning syringe.

Its hollow-fibre membrane filters down to 0.1 micron, removing bacteria including E. coli and Salmonella, as well as protozoa found in freshwater. It lets you drink directly from rivers, lakes and springs — ideally choosing the clearest water available.

The Sawyer Mini can be used in several ways: screwed onto the included pouch, attached to a compatible bottle, or used directly as a drinking straw. This versatility means you can filter water as you need it, without having to carry a large supply from the start.

The filter requires no replacement cartridge. The included syringe allows backflushing to maintain flow rate and membrane performance. Cleaning after each trip is recommended.

Its main advantage over a full filter bottle is its extremely low weight. It offers a high filtration capacity while remaining modular and barely noticeable in your pack.
