Description

Maurten Gel Mix 480 is an energy powder mix designed for endurance sports such as trail running, ultra-trail, cycling and bikepacking. Mixed with just 200 ml of water, one sachet delivers 120 g of carbohydrates. Its unique feature is its intermediate consistency: thicker than a standard energy drink, but runnier than an energy gel.

Like Maurten's other Hydrogel products, Gel Mix 480 uses Hydrogel Technology. When it meets the acidity of the stomach, the drink forms a gel structure that encapsulates the carbohydrates and transports them smoothly to the intestines where they are absorbed. This format allows you to pack a high amount of carbohydrates into your nutrition strategy and take them on gradually during exercise.

Gel Mix 480 is prepared using one sachet and 200 ml of water, then ideally consumed from the Maurten Gel Mix Flask 350 ml. This soft flask easily fits into a trail running vest, running belt or back pocket. Once mixed, simply let it rest for 5 minutes before consuming. Prepared Gel Mix can be stored in the fridge for up to 72 hours.

With no added flavours, colourings or preservatives, Gel Mix 480 has a neutral taste that can be customised with Maurten Flavour Additions (Cola, Menthol, Orange or Apple). This makes it easy to switch up flavours on long outings and prevent flavour fatigue.
