Description

Meltonic Organic Savoury XL Energy Gel is designed for prolonged endurance activities such as trail running, marathons, cycling, triathlons and strenuous hikes. Its main advantage is that it offers a savoury alternative to traditionally sweet energy gels, helping you vary the flavours when you tire of sweetness during a long effort. Each 40 g (1.4 oz) XL gel provides 28.8 g of carbohydrates and approximately 116 kcal.

The recipe contains 88% organic acacia honey, 4% Guérande fleur de sel, organic royal jelly and lemon juice. Each gel also provides 602 mg of sodium. Naturally gluten-free and certified organic, it is made in France and slips easily into a bag or clothing pocket.

Take it directly during exercise, preferably with water or an energy drink. Meltonic recommends one gel every 1 to 1½ hours, depending on the intensity and duration of your activity. The 40 g (1.4 oz) size is particularly suited to longer outings that call for a regular carbohydrate intake.
