Santa Madre Unusual Recovery – Cherry is a recovery drink designed to support recovery after intense efforts, demanding training sessions or multi-stage races. Its complete formula combines carbohydrates, proteins, sodium, tart cherry polyphenols and probiotics to help the body recover more effectively after activity.

It provides 40 g of carbohydrates to help replenish energy stores, along with 16 g of protein to support muscle repair. Its 3:1 carbohydrate-to-protein ratio is particularly well suited to the recovery phase, when the body needs to restore glycogen levels while supporting the muscles worked during exercise.

The formula stands out for its high polyphenol content derived from tart cherry, with 1,250 mg of anthocyanins. These antioxidants are recognised for their role in combating exercise-induced oxidative stress and inflammation. They help reduce muscle soreness and support better recovery after intense training sessions.

This drink also contains 600 mg of sodium — a meaningful amount to support rehydration after exercise and compensate for mineral losses through sweat. The addition of two probiotic strains, Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus salivarius, completes the formula by helping to maintain gut balance, which is often put under strain during prolonged or repeated efforts.

Its cherry flavour makes for a pleasant, refreshing drink after exercise. Presented in an individual stick, it is simply prepared by dissolving the contents in 400 ml of cold water, right after your workout.
