Description

The Big Agnes String Ridge VST 1.5 hiking tent is a premium ultralight shelter designed for trekkers and fast hikers seeking top performance. Built for three-season adventures, it combines innovative materials with an optimised design to deliver maximum usable space at minimal weight. Whether you're chasing an FKT or simply going lighter, it delivers protection, stability and reliability on demanding terrain.

Its asymmetric architecture, with poles replaced by 2 trekking poles, maximises interior space while drastically cutting weight. The externally tensioned freestanding design improves stability and simplifies pitching. The hybrid single/double-wall construction with integrated ventilation promotes airflow and effectively limits condensation, with no extra effort required.

The exclusive HyperBead™ technology delivers an excellent balance of strength, durability and lightweight performance. The solution-dyed recycled polyester fabric provides better dimensional stability than standard nylon, a real advantage for this type of semi-freestanding structure. YKK DynaPel™ zips are durable, smooth and made without intentional addition of PFAS, for improved moisture resistance.

With a floor area of 2 m² (21.5 sq ft) and an optimised volume, the String Ridge VST 1.5 provides extra space for a backpack or even a four-legged companion. The comfortable floor accommodates a 63 cm (25 in) wide sleeping mat. The 0.9 m² (9.7 sq ft) vestibule effectively protects your gear.

The tent comes with factory-sealed seams. To extend the lifespan of the groundsheet, the use of a Big Agnes footprint is recommended (sold separately).
