From her childhood in Sweden, Ariane remembers being immersed in nature, where winter's cold bites sharp and staying indoors was never an option. Vast snowy expanses, lakes and forests—every landscape became a playground and sport, a way of life. But unexpectedly, she found herself drawn to water sports and became a sailing instructor in France.
Meanwhile, the entrepreneurial world had always attracted her: creating a project, having freedom over decisions and organising her own activity rather than enduring it. She trained both in formal education and through hands-on business experience.
Then came the leap, with the creation of a Swedish product import company… which failed. But what a valuable lesson! Combining her various experiences and passions, the most French of Lorient's Swedish residents was about to take the helm of a vessel called Freezedried & Co.

The Lorient Offshore Racing Hub
In the heart of the "Bretagne Sailing Valley", the Lorient Offshore Racing Hub is a premier competitive sailing venue. The former submarine base, closed since 1992, has transformed into a dynamic centre where renowned skippers such as Franck Cammas, Samantha Davies, Armel Le Cléach and Jérémie Beyou work alongside future sailing stars. This hub brings together design offices, shipyards and companies specialising in rigging, seamanship and of course, provisioning. Freezedried & Co has moved three times but remains in this core area where feedback and demands of sailors are just as valuable to a mountaineer in the midst of an ascent, as they are to a humanitarian worker in a difficult-to-reach area.
