The Big Agnes String Ridge VST 2.5 hiking tent is an ultralight three-season shelter designed for demanding trekkers, fastpackers and bikepackers. It combines innovative materials with a user-centred design to deliver maximum usable space with minimum weight. Reliable and high-performing, it handles challenging multi-day routes without weighing you down.

Its structure supported by 3 trekking poles achieves featherlight weight while maintaining excellent stability. The asymmetric architecture with external support maximises interior volume and simplifies pitching. This design makes the most of the living space for two people and their gear.

The exclusive HyperBead™ technology ensures an optimal balance of strength, durability and weight savings. The hybrid single/double-wall construction with integrated ventilation promotes airflow and effectively limits condensation, with no extra effort required. The solution-dyed recycled polyester fabric offers better dimensional stability than standard nylon, making it particularly well-suited to semi-freestanding structures.

The String Ridge VST 2.5 provides extra space to shelter backpacks or a four-legged companion in full protection. Its comfortable floor accommodates two 63 cm wide sleeping mats. The ergonomic ErgoZip zips make opening easy from any position, while the YKK DynaPel™ zips offer improved durability and effective moisture protection, with no intentional addition of PFAS.

To preserve the longevity of the groundsheet, the use of a Big Agnes footprint is recommended (sold separately).
