Sugar-free, Indiana Chicken Jerky is ideal for long-distance exercise, recovery or, for Jerky lovers, as an aperitif. It's also a popular choice for night-time cruising: since sugary products can cause blood sugar levels to spike, jerky ticks all the right boxes at night.

The advantages of Jerky
Unlike biltong, jerky comes from a piece of meat (in this case, chicken) cut into strips. These are then marinated and dried. The chew is harder on this type of product, which combined with the protein intake, reinforces the feeling of satiety. The 25-gram portion is salted to improve preservation (about 1 g of Dead Sea salt). Consumption should be limited if you tend to over-indulge in salt throughout the day. However, during physical activity, the presence of salt promotes hydration, contributing to the recovery of electrolytes lost during exercise.
