The Nemo Tensor Alpine inflatable mattress has been designed for 4-season bivouacs. Its primary purpose is to insulate you from the coolness of the ground. With an R-Value of 4.8, it’s successful. You can sleep in the snow without fear of getting cold. NEMO Equipment’s mattress is made up of three thin layers of aluminium film which are intended to reflect body heat.
The second objective of the Tensor Alpine is to provide you with comfort. For this, the manufacturer offers a model with a thickness of 8 cm. In addition, the mattress has been designed to be less noisy than other mattresses on the market. This will decrease the creaking noises when you move at night. Finally, the Spaceframe™ technology gives you excellent stability on the inflatable mattress. In short, everything you need to spend a good night in bivouac, in winter as in summer.
In terms of other characteristics, we find the Nemo tab present on all the mattresses in the range. A pump bag is supplied with the Tensor Alpine. This helps prevent inflating the mattress by mouth which can cause mould due to condensation. Inflation is quick and easy and a micro-adjustable valve lets you adjust the pressure. Deflation is just as important.
