Description

Used by the US military for over 10 years, the MSR Thru-link™ microfilter helps purify your water. Its USP? It connects to your hydration reservoir (water bag, jerry can, etc.). Very practical, it saves space and weight in the backpack since you will no longer have to provide large amounts of water for the day. You can simply refuel at the different water points that you will come across throughout your expedition, whether it is a lake or a small stream.

In addition, the Thru-link water filter provides a high flow rate (1.5 L per minute) and is very light (71 g). The housing is robust and durable over time. If you are looking for performance then this water filter is perfect for you. The MSR water filter will accompany you on many expeditions.

Let us come to its main function, the purification of water. Its two-stage filtration system is effective against 99.9% of protozoa, 99.9999% of bacteria and against particles (such as mud or microplastics). Hollow fibres help remove pathogens, particles and microplastics. The role of activated carbon is to reduce chemicals, bad tastes and odours.

The MSR Thru-link water filter is adaptable to almost any water bag. The cartridge has a lifespan of 1000 litres. Finally, once the camp is done, you can use the gravity filtration system for a group of people. Hang your pocket from a tree and let the water flow into the filter. It will thus be purified without the slightest effort.

- A light water filter with a large flow
