Description

The Trekker Kitchen Set is the smallest kit in the Kelly Trekker range. It includes a 600 ml stove-kettle, a 450 ml saucepan and its support, a frying pan, a 350 ml cup, a grid and two saucepan supports.

The principle of the stove-kettle was invented by Patrick Kelly at the end of the 1980s in Ireland. This gave rise to the Kelly Kettle brand which has sold its products all over the world for several decades.

The Kelly Kettle Trekker Kit is renowned for its versatility. It offers plenty of options for cooking during your outdoor excursions. This kit is suitable for bushcraft enthusiasts, kayak or van expedition enthusiasts, campers, fishermen or just on a picnic. It weighs in lightly at only 1.2 kg and is compact (less than 30 cm in height, all inclusive).

The stove works with wood. Once lit, you can put the double-walled kettle on the stove. The chimney speeds up the boiling time of your water. The pan and pot holder can be fixed on the chimney, which allows cooking at the same time as boiling water. The frying pan and saucepan have a removable handle to handle them without getting burned.

If you don’t need the kettle, you can simply use the base with the frying pan and saucepan. The Hobo Stove Support allows you to cook directly on the wood stove without the kettle. This will save you several hundred grams in your backpack (about 565 g, or half the total weight of the kit). On the other hand, if you use the Kelly Kettle, a wooden handle allows you to lift it without getting burned.

Then, thanks to the chain attached to the cap, you can pour the boiling water into the 350 ml cup provided for this purpose. Finally, a small grill is provided if you prefer cooking over a wood fire like a barbecue. To do this, simply place it directly on the hearth/wood stove.
