Hydration kit by TrekAttitude

This kit includes three essential items when you go hiking:

1. A water bottle:

This is certainly the most important accessory. It is recommended to drink every 5 to 10 minutes on a trek. Therefore, the water bottle must be easily accessible. The Nalgene HDPE is perfect as it can be placed on the backpack strap or on one of the mesh side pockets.

The HDPE version is even lighter than the classic version: 110g vs 178g. So you can save precious grams!

2. A water tank:

With a capacity of 2 litres, it provides a reserve for the day and can be stored in the backpack. The Seeker is a safe bet. It is robust, ultra-light (only 78 g) and foldable. A handle on the wall makes it easy to carry. The cap is attached to the tank. No risk of losing it.

3. A water filter:

The last essential element for a complete hydration kit is the water filter. After multiple choices, TrekAttitude has set its sights on the BeFree filter from Katadyn. The reasons? It is light, it screws onto the Seeker water tank and it has an excellent flow rate (2 litres per minute).

Like all filters, it removes impurities from the water and makes it drinkable. The BeFree is perfect for drinking river or fountain water.
