Description
If you are curious and want to try new flavours when cooking, then give crickets a try. The French brand Jimini’s, which first developed recipes based on insects embellished with flavours, is now launching its range of plain insects. Plain Crickets are eaten daily. You can lightly fry them in the pan with your favourite spices or include them in other meals such as a salad.
The crickets are crispy and cooked at a low temperature so as to retain all of their nutritional properties. A cricket is 62% protein but also provides vitamins B1 and B12, fibre and iron. Treat yourself healthily.
And as if that wasn’t enough, crickets have a much lower environmental impact than meat. On the one hand, they produce 99% less greenhouse gas emissions than beef. On the other hand, insects need less space, less water and less food. Insects are therefore part of a varied, healthy and environmentally-friendly diet.
Jimini’s Plain Crickets are:
- An original snack for an aperitif
- Raised in Europe, cooked in France
- Ready to eat or include in other dishes
